BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — The Burger King located on Yorktown Drive off Centennial Road in Bismarck has a letter posted on their door stating that they are temporarily closed for business at this time.
The restaurant joins three other Burger Kings in Fargo-Moorhead, which are all owned by Meridian Restaurants Unlimited, to also close their doors this week.
A property record search online shows the restaurant was built in 2017.
The news was a shock for some diners were still showing up Wednesday afternoon trying to order from the drive-thru.
“Yes, very much so. I wasn’t expecting it at all,” Marilyn Reule from Menoken said. “Well, between this one and the south one, yeah. I love their onion rings and their junior Whoppers.”
At this time, there is no timetable on when the Bismarck restaurant will be re-opening.
The news also comes after three Burger King locations in Fargo closed within the last two weeks.
The restaurant was run by Meridian Restaurants Unlimited, which filed for bankruptcy in March of this year.
