UPDATE: Bismarck Police respond to bomb threat at North Walmart, confirm scene is safe

UPDATE: Officers spoke to an individual using a fake phone number and Internet Protocol address, who claimed to have planted numerous pipe bombs in the parking lot and store.

Through investigation, the conversation with the suspect, and intelligence from the FBI, Bismarck Police bomb squad found the call to be a hoax.

The store was opened and business was resumed after a minimal period of time.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bismarck Police responded to a bomb threat at the North Walmart Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. but confirmed the scene is safe.

The building was evacuated and people were seen standing outside in the parking lot. There were several police vehicles on the scene.
