Man arrested on terrorizing charges related to suspicious object in Mandan Friday morning

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on terrorizing charges following an incident Friday morning involoving a suspicious object found in Mandan.

Around 10:30 a.m., Mandan Police and the Bismarck Bomb Squad responded to reports of a suspicious object in the area of First Street and Second Avenue Northwest in Mandan.

According to police, “Members of the Bismarck Bomb Squad were able to examine the suspicious object and determined it posed no threat to the public.”

Later, the 25-year-old male was arrested on a charge of terrorizing and was taken to the Burleigh Morton Detention Center where he is currently being held.

Mandan Police are currently handling an incident involving a suspicious object in the area of the 1st St and 2nd Ave NW. 

The Bismarck Bomb Squad has been notified and is responding. At this time, they have closed streets surrounding the immediate area. The area involved includes 1st St NW from Collins to 4th Ave NW along with portions of the avenues in that area.
