Six families displaced by Wednesday morning fire being helped by Red Cross

The American Red Cross is helping several families affected by today’s early morning fire on south Washington Street.

The blaze around 4:00 a.m., displaced six families from the apartment, 9 adults and 7 children, all of whom are being assisted by the Red Cross.

They are being offered emergency housing and financial assistance to help meet their immediate needs, as well as providing food, clothing and other essentials that may have been lost in the fire.
