Local Students to Participate in Walkout

Today marks the one month anniversary of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.

Students across the country are expected to walk out of their classrooms to protest gun violence.

In honor of the 17 victims of the Parkland shooting, students right here in Bismarck are expected to participate in a walkout later this morning.

At 10:00, some students will be leaving school grounds for 17 minutes to pay their respects to those killed.
In our region – Bismarck High school is the only school listed on the offical website that will be participating.
Students must have parental permission to walkout.
Other schools in the state are Jamestown high school, Davies high school in Fargo, and Grand Forks Central High School.

We reached out to other schools in our neck of the woods and heard nothing back.
