The Magic City Discovery Center will be closing its doors after a third temporary season.
Right now the discovery center shares the building with the Dakota Territory Air Museum which means the center can only be open for a few months.
Board members are working towards expanding their space and being at a location where discoveries could be made year round.
The treasurer told me that it’s so exciting to see the light bulb go off when the kids get it and learn something new.
The goal for the future is to have the children’s museum become a destination spot for the community and visitors.
She added that having them do new activities makes them excited to learn and could possibly spark an interest.
“Not only is it absolutely educational, always fun of course it’s fun but it really has an economic impact too.” said Wendy Keller.
The discovery center will be closing this weekend but before they do, the musical Busytown will be performed by Make A Scene Kids.
There is a show tonight, tomorrow, and then it will close the season on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks, Alexus.
