MINOT, ND- This year there were over 3,000 volunteers. Each assigned with different projects to serve the community.
“Our project that we were assigned to was to go Loews Floral and Garden center and they had donated a bunch of plants and pots and what we did was we planted those and now we’re delivering them to Trinity hospice and Trinity nursing home,” said volunteer Shannon Webster.
Shannon and her team are all employees of Town and Country Credit union, and this is the 4th year they have volunteered together as a team.
“There’s even something about working beside your coworkers outside of the office on a project that just does so much good for the community,” Webster said.
Making a difference fills their happy hearts
“To get paired with something that impacts so many people and to give flowers to people who really appreciate it is just a really cool way that we can give back,” Webster said.
But the lessons learned were just as valuable.
“They walked us through how to plant those flowers and then we watered them put in some instructions and little note card from Loews and then we got them on the road to deliver them,” Webster said.
and they hand delivered each one.
Putting smiles on each person that received a little piece of happiness.
