60 seconds is all it takes to make a difference.

That’s the idea behind Magic 60, a project sponsored by the Minot Young Professionals.

Alexus Arthur reports on the fast-paced project designed to improve the city.

“60 seconds is only 60 seconds.” said Megan Laudenschlager, Minot Young Professionals President.

Time moves slowly.

“We basically ask people for their ideas of how they would better the community and then we provide some resources.” said Laudenschlager.

But it passes quickly.

“You have to be super distinct, so we ask that they present their idea in 60 seconds or less.” said Laudenschlager.

Presenters will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.

“A great opportunity for people in the community that might have access to different resources to meet those who have those great ideas.” said Laudenschlager.

They will decide how to divide the 7,500 dollars.

“Put those good thoughts and ideas into action.” said Laudenschlager.

Ideas can come from anyone — no matter what your age.

“Whether you’re a little kid or a senior citizen, all you have to do is just send us your short summary and come present for a minute.” said Laudenschlager.

There’s no better time than the present.

“It’s really a way we’re hoping to inspire young people to give back to the community.” said Laudenschlager.

To share your ideas — in 60 seconds. In Minot, Alexus Arthur, KX News.
