If you heard sirens sounding in Dickinson overnight, don’t panic — it was just a technical error.

In a Facebook post late Thursday night, Dickinson Police Department says the city’s outdoor warning siren system is “currently experiencing a malfunction.” The error caused the sirens to sound overnight.

“There is no current civil emergency,” the post went on to say.

Police say emergency managers are working to fix the issue.
