This holiday season Prairie Hills Mall is delivering a gift to people in Dickinson who help make the community special.

The mall set up its very first Elder Angel Tree this year.

Local residents can pull a tag from the tree and drop off their gift at Lillian’s Boutique or Creative Cards and Gifts.

The shops will see that it is delivered to the men and women of St. Benedict’s Health Center, before Christmas.

About 50 donation tags were set up on the tree and almost all of them have been taken.

” I realized that there were people . .  .residents at the nursing facility that didn’t have family present for the holidays. I assumed that they may not be receiving presents during the holidays,” said Peggy O’Brien, Prairie Hills Mall manager.

The last day for donations is Dec. 4.
