Man apprehended after nearly 8 hour search through cornfield

The McLean County Sheriff’s Department says a suspect is in custody following a high speed chase and search of a cornfield near Wilton.

35 Year-old William Lyn Rawson, a homeless resident from Fargo led law enforcement on a high speed chase near Highway 83 yesterday afternoon. .
Lt. Rick Richard with the McLean County Sheriff’s Department says they took a call around 2 p.m. of a reckless driver north of Wilton.
A high speed chase ensued until the suspect fled on foot into a cornfield.
With help from highway patrol…Rawson was apprehended around 10 p.m. last night within the corn field.

Rawson was driving a stolen vehicle with a revoked license.
He also had 2 active arrest warrants for 6 charges in Cass County.
Some of the new charges he could face include possession of methamphetamine and aggravated reckless driving
