Mandan Man Creates Plaque for Mandan Station 1 Firefighters

We at KX News try to make a habit of thanking our first responders for the work they do. One local man decided to make his appreciation for the Mandan Fire Department something that can last for years to come.

Roger Hauck owns Custom Cut and Fab and decided to work with Station 1 in Mandan to honor the work they do every day. He grew up in a rural area, where volunteer firefighters were the ones the town relied on. Now that he’s able, Roger is paying it forward.

Roger Hauck; Owner Custom Cut and Fab: “I wanted to show my appreciation to the fire department. I’ve seen them countless times go down a road, trying to get people to move over for them. They’re just trying to do their job.”

The man that made this sign has no personal connection to firefighters, he just wanted to find a way to show thanks. And his appreciation doesn’t stop here. He plans on working with the police department and ambulance service to make each of them their own plaques too.
