Mandan Parade Information
KX News broadcast begins at 11 am from downtown Mandan.
Parking anywhere on Main Street is prohibited from 1:00 am on July 4th until after the parade is over on the afternoon of July 4th. Any vehicles parked on Main Street during this time will be ticketed & towed at the owner’s expense. Parking lots in the downtown area will also be subject to restrictions. Please watch for changes in signage.
Main Street Exit Closed
The Main St exit from I-94 (Exit 155) will be closed to traffic into Mandan beginning at 7:00 AM until the end of the parade.
Main Street Closed
Main Street from the west side of the intersection with Memorial Hwy to 10th Ave NW will be closed starting at 7:45 AM on July 4th to accommodate planned events starting at 8:00 AM and leading up to the parade.
Memorial Highway Closed
Memorial Hwy will remain open until 9:45 am. Traffic will be able to go northbound onto Mandan Ave from Memorial Hwy. At that time, Memorial Hwy will be closed to westbound traffic from the intersection with 3rd St SE/Bisman Ave to East Main.
If you are traveling west of 3rd St SE on Memorial Hwy prior to the closing, please slow down and watch for pedestrians. Many people will be in the area setting up to watch the parade.
The Classic Car Parade will start at approximately 10:00 AM followed by the Grand Parade at 10:10 AM. The Classic Car Parade will leave Midway Lanes on Memorial Hwy and travel westbound to Main. The Grand Parade will start at Dacotah Centennial Park on Memorial Highway and proceed to Main Street. After the parade begins, traveling to the North and/or South in Mandan will be extremely difficult with long delays.
Traffic in bound from I-94 into Mandan onto East Main St will be closed at 7:00 am. Traffic into Mandan can utilize the I-94 exits at Mandan Ave (Exit 153) and Sunset Dr. (Exit 152) Traffic can also enter Mandan by Memorial Hwy until 9:45AM.
If you need to go south of Mandan for any reason please arrange your travel plans to do so prior to 9:45 AM to avoid any time delays or inconvenience.
We encourage people to take advantage of the free busing to downtown Mandan. Buses will run
from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Buses leave and return to Bismarck State College (lot north of Jack Science Center), Bank of ND and the Bismarck Elks. Buses will drop off and pick up along 1st St in Mandan. (Lawn chairs are allowed on the buses)
