An 18-year-old Mandan High School senior pays tribute to those who bravely responded on 9-11.
Dillon Fischer says he saw similar tributes on Facebook and wanted to honor first responders by climbing 110 floors on a stair stepper Sunday.
Fischer says “it was a challenge” but that it didn’t compare to what firemen and police did that day.
He says he had around 55 pounds of gear on at the Anytime Fitness location in Mandan.
Fischer’s mother told us her son is very patriotic and that she is very proud of him.
She said he didn’t do this for attention.
Fischer works part time at the Mandan Rural Fire Department and is also in the National Guard.
