Medora announces cast for 2018 musical

News

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation has announced the cast for the 2018 Medora Musical.

They are excited to announce that Chet Wollan will be returning for his third year to host the musical.

In a press release Wollan said, “I love this show. It is so fun coming back to it year after year to tell timeless tales about Teddy Roosevelt, the Badlands and family values in compelling new ways”.

Bill Sorensen, will also be retuning to co- host with Wollan.

Sorensen has been a national treasure to the people in Medora for about 40 years.

The TRMF said that between Sorensen and Wollan, “This year’s show is sure to include a great mix of fan-favorite moments and humor – some scripted and others, well, not so much”.

Three native North Dakota residents will also be returning to the stage this season: Misti Koop, of Grand Forks, Taylor Leet, of Bismarck, and Alyssa Scott of Fargo.

More than a thousand people auditioned for the musical, from North Dakota to Florida, but only three newcomers will be joining this year’s cast as Burning Hills Singers: Ben Massouras of Phoenix, AZ, John Woodruff of White Bear Lake, MN, and Benjamin Frankart of Republic, OH.

Justin Fisk, TRMF communications director, said ” “It will be fun and exciting to see how such an epic story of TR and the Badlands can be told with the family theme, with such a talented cast who are themselves a lot like a family”.
