Medora is getting ready for Summer season

The weather is starting to warm up outside and pretty soon the businesses in Medora, ND will be too.

Medora is a small town of about 100 people but during the Summertime it’s one of the top tourist destinations in North Dakota.

The executive director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau said Medora has about 50 businesses and only 5 percent of them are open right now.

However, in the next two weeks, they will start gearing up for the start of the Summer season.

To get things started the CVB will be hosting a BBQ and Blues Grass Festival on the May 18th in Medora.

“It’s a way for us to kick off the season. Bring everyone back into town and get everyone ready for another good year in Medora,” said Justin Ell, executive director of Medora Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Ell said the opening of the Medora Musical is May 30th  weather permitting.
