Mid Dakota Clinic says they are not a part of CHI, nor are they formally involved in the CHI St. Alexius problems.

Late this afternoon Mid Dakota Clinic put out a formal statement to their patients wanting to assure them— no Mid Dakota Clinic doctors have stopped seeing patients.

We have been following the public fued between several CHI St. Alexius committee’s this week, and CHI leadership.

Although there have been committee resignations at the hospital, doctors who resigned from those committees are still working and seeing patients.

While Mid Dakota Clinic says it’s not involved in the CHI St. Alexius spat, it will monitor the situation carefully.

Statement from Mid Dakota Clinic:

May 18, 2018

Dear Valued Patient,

As you may know from recent media reports, some doctors on CHI St. Alexius Health’s Medical
Executive Committee have told Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) that they have resigned from that
committee because of certain leadership concerns. More recently, it has been reported that certain
doctors on the CHI St. Alexius Peer Review Committee and CHI St. Alexius Credentials Committee have
also resigned.
We wish to assure you that Mid Dakota Clinic is not a part of CHI, nor are we formally involved in the
current internal CHI St. Alexius situation. Please be assured that NO Mid Dakota Clinic doctor has
stopped caring for you. Whether you need only outpatient care in one of our clinics, or inpatient care
at St. Alexius or any other community healthcare facility or service, our commitment to caring for you
remains unchanged.
While Mid Dakota Clinic is not a part of the current CHI St. Alexius discord, we will monitor the
situation carefully.
Thank you for trusting us with your care. You may continue to have confidence in “the doctors you
know and trust.”
