Million Dollar Drug Bust in Berthold

News
A traffic stop Tuesday night in Berthold netted one of the state’s largest-ever drug busts.
Berthold Police Chief Al Schmidt says he stopped a vehicle and arrested three men from Washington State on minor drug charges.
But the next day, their vehicle was searched and Schmidt says 11-and-a-half pounds of meth plus a substantial amount of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, guns, and cash were found.
Schmidt says the drugs have a street value of more than one million dollars.
All three are now face up to life in prison if convicted on the most serious drug charges.
