Senator Hoeven and Minot City officials met with the FEMA administration.

After finding some discrepancies, Hoeven supported city officials in asking for a review of those flood maps.

Funding continues to be a battle and everyone is trying to find a solution.

Senator Hoeven urged that efforts should be focused on flood protection rather than flood recovery at this time.

” I’m here in the spirit of improvement, I want to hear how we can improve  I want to be able to cut down on the bureaucracy of our program and I want to eventually do what’s right,” said FEMA administrator Brock Long.

The discussion ended with a bus tour showing FEMA the updated map Minot officials have created.
