The Minot Police Department is asking for assistance with locating 23 year old Eric Lee Skorick of Minot.
At approximately 3:42 PM police responded to a store in Dakota Square Mall to investigate a report of a shoplifter in custody. When the officer arrived just before 4:00 PM and began the investigation, Skorick brandished a handgun and fled from the store. Witnesses saw a male matching the description flee from the main doors near the food court, northbound from the mall.
Skorick is a white male, about 6’ 1” tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. The photo included was taken by the store employee just prior to the incident.
Skorick may be driving a black 1993 Buick LeSaber limited with ND plates, 486AEK.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Minot Police Department at 852-0111. Skorick is armed and may be dangerous if confronted so anyone who sees him should keep their distance and notify police immediately.
