Incoming freshman at Minot State University have the chance to win 10,0000.
Minot State received a scholarship endowment specifically to help freshman who demonstrate financial need.
The endowment comes from two alumni who graduated in 1957.
Students need to be incoming freshman and a resident of North Dakota in order to be considered.
“There’s a lot of kids who can’t afford to go to school, and really giving them the opportunity for a future, brighter future to get a college degree and move on, said Rick Hedberg of the Advancement Office at MSU.
The university offers more than 300 scholarships for students, but this one is considered one of the largest.
