Minot’s Got Talent

It’s been a big day for celebrating talent at the Grammy’s but in Minot there is a lot to be impressed by.
Make a Scene Kids held the first Minot’s Got Talent as a way to raise funds for children’s theater.
Alexus Arthur reports.
(Allison Auch, Executive Director) “We really just want to bring new events to the community.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “Welcome to Minot’s Got Talent. We have nearly 20 acts today ranging from all ages. Some including dancers and singers and maybe a few acts that’ll even surprise you.”
(Allison Auch, Executive Director) “I think it gives people in the community an opportunity to come out and show their talents and show what they got.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “Each performer will take the stage in front of four judges who will then decide the winners.”
(Matthew Maldonado, Judge) “I think that there’s going to be some really, really great potential for some great winners.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “Laurae Eeaubrie is 13 years old and is prepared to fill the room with her voice.”
(Laurae Eeaubrie, Singer) “It has a lot of long notes so that you can show off vibrato and you can kind of style it to your own ways.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “The next performer will be taking the stage twice with a tae kwon do routine.”
(Davis Undrhill, Tae Kwon Do) “My individual starts with a sword and then I put it down and do all open hand with no weapons.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “And just a few minutes later, he was on stage again but this time with a partner.”
(Davis Undrhill, Tae Kwon Do) “My other one is with a partner who does flips in the background and I have many weapons in that.”
(Matthew Maldonado, Judge) “It’s a catalyst really for these kids to be very creative and channel their energies into affective areas that maybe that haven’t been able to express before.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “Laurae and Davis have both performed in front of crowds and thrive on the energy.”
(Laurae Eeaubrie, Singer) “I really love the applause of the audience and just the fact that everyone gets to hear you and what you get to do and what you love.”
(Alexus Arthur, KX News) “They got to share what they do best with the community and that is the greatest prize of all. In Minot, Alexus Arthur, KX News.”
All the money raised will help support the upcoming production Busy Town put on by Make a Scene Kids.
