We are putting North Dakota first and have been keeping a close eye on the Missouri River
Just since last night, levels have risen again.
Emily Medalen went the river to show us how it looked this morning.
In Bismarck – water level sits at 13.21 feet – that’s up .04 feet since last night.
Right now, we are in the action stage.
This started at 12.5 feet – and minor flood stage is 14.5 feet.
If the river gets higher, Morton County Emergency Management says they will increase public awareness and continue to coordinate with the Army Corp of Engineers.
But, Morton County Emergency Management said they spoke with the Corp – who said that we probably won’t get to minor flood stage.
The Army Corps of Engineers is continuing to release water from the Garrison dam at 60-thousand cubic feet per second through July 15th.
