Mandan-based Missouri Valley Petroleum, or MVP, is being sold to Canadian firm Parkland Fuel Corporation.
The acquisition by Parkland’s U.S. based subsidiary, Parkland USA, was announced Tuesday.
MVP operates six retail gas and convenience store sites in Mandan, Rugby and Williston. It also operates three bulk plant terminals in Mandan, Williston and Belfield.
MVP distributes nearly 84 million gallons of fuel and petroleum products every year.
“The MVP Acquisition represents an opportunity for Parkland USA to grow within our existing footprint in North Dakota and expand our offering into the commercial fuel market. These business lines provide us with a strong organic growth opportunity that we do not address today through our existing retail and wholesale fuel operations in North Dakota,” said Doug Haugh, President of Parkland USA. In a statement.
Parkland is Canada’s largest and one of North America’s fastest growing independent suppliers and marketers of fuel and petroleum products and a leading convenience store operator.
The deal is expected to close by October 1.
