It’s no surprise this time of year when the temperatures fluctuate in the 80s one day and cool to the 50s the next., That has been the case in Minot where yesterday the high was 85 degrees. Today, expect a high of only the mid 50s! Cool air sinking in from Canada is the culprit! After a few scattered showers and sprinkles today, we’ll gradually clear overnight and drop into the 30s for most. Frost/freeze headlines look to be the highlight for tonight. While the NWS hasn’t issued any advisories, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do by this afternoon… at least for parts of the north.
Tomorrow morning, expect some of the coldest air this season. With average lows in the upper 40s, a map full of 30s will be an eye-opener! Bundle up for the bus stop or that morning run… and keep the light jacket handy throughout the day as highs will only warm into the 50s. Luckily, the sun will shine and high pressure should allow for beautiful blue skies!
Lows Tuesday night will probably not be as frigid as Monday night, but they will still remain below average and mostly in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Highs Wednesday will return to the upper 60s to lower 70s with mostly 70s making their mark on the second half of the work week. This is when we also pick back up with our rain and storm chances… keep the umbrella handy Thursday and Friday!
