Happy Memorial Day! After a weekend long of strong winds, the winds will continue through today. Gusts of 35 mph can occur and mainly be sustained around 15-25 mph from the northwest. Conditions will be sunnier in the west than the central and east. A few rain showers are possible in central North Dakota, with a few minor thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 60 degrees for most. Areas around the Turtle Mountains will be cooler in the mid 50s. Expect winds to calm down slightly for Tuesday then decreasing into Tuesday night. Most of the area will be on the sunny side through the mid week, including a warming temperature trend. By Thursday, it can be near 80 degrees with a lot of sunshine as a ridge of high pressure develops over the Midwest. By the end of the work week, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Memorial Day, a partly cloudy sky, skies will likely be clearer in the west. A few rain showers are possible in central North Dakota. Winds will likely be gusting to near 35 mph and sustained from the northwest at 15-25 mph. Highs will stay on either side of 60 degrees.
Monday night, lows in the mid to lower 40s along with a partly cloudy sky. Winds breezy, from the northwest at 10-20 mph and gusting to 25 mph at times.
