Monday’s PM Forecast Update 4/24

News
From the KX Storm Center:
Across Western & Central ND, widespread rain/mix/snow moved through this morning. Light snow totals were reported earlier, but much of the accumulation has melted as of this afternoon. Meanwhile, temperatures are well below average for this time of the year (avg 61/34). These unseasonably cool temps will continue through most of the 7-day outlook. Gradual warming is expected and by Thursday/Friday, highs will climb into the 50s. It still will not be until the latter half of the 7day that temps climb to near average, again. The good news is that starting tomorrow, more sunshine with in & out clouds and very low precip chances is expected. Winds will remain breezy until tomorrow night. Once most our the clouds clear out, precip chances end and winds calm down. A few of the models are hinting at some hit & miss precip, but the highest rain/mix chances (still not that impressive yet) will come with the late weekend & beginning of the work week.

Tonight, mostly cloudy and chilly. A few flurries/showers possible. Lows in the 20s with a few 30s and a North & NE wind 10-20mph, still gusty at times.

Tuesday, a cloudy start with a few light snow/mix showers possible. Expect clearing with more sunshine through the afternoon & evening hours. Highs in the 30s & 40s with a North & NE wind 10-20mph G25.

Tuesday night will bring another round of below freezing temps and it will be partly to mostly cloudy. Lows in the 20s with a few 30s and a North wind 5-15mph G25.

Wednesday, mostly sunny to partly cloudy and slightly warmer. Highs in the 40s with a few 50s and a North/East wind 5-15mph G20.

Wednesday night, still chilly and partly to mostly cloudy with in & out cover. Lows in the 20s with a few 30s and a Light wind out of the East, 2-12mph.
