In their list of of Best Places to Live in America, Money Magazine listed Dickinson, N.D. as the 6th best.
The magazine partnered with Realtor.com and evaluated 2,400 places on eight categories: cost of living, economy, education, housing, crime, convenience, cultural and recreational amenities, overall sense of pleasantness.
The Top 10 list goes as follows:
- Fishers, Indiana
- Allen, Texas
- Monterey Park, California
- Franklin, Tennessee
- Olive Branch, Mississippi
- Dickinson, N.D.
- Lone Tree, Colorado
- North Arlington, New Jersey
- Schaumburg, Illinois
- Bozeman, Montana
Bismarck and Williston both made the list as well, they were ranked Number 25 and Number 81 respectively.
The magazine only looked at places with a population between 10,000 and 100,000. They also eliminated any place that had more than double the national crime risk, less than 85% of it’s state’s median household income, or a lack of ethnic diversity which left 2,400 cities to examine. This is the 30th time Money Magazine has compiled the list.
