Dozens of party goers arrived almost a full day before the countdown begins, rushing to get the best spot in Times Square for the most famous New year’s Eve Celebration in the world.

But no one’s more ready than the NYPD who will be positioned on the ground and rooftops with 1,200 cameras rolling on the crowd and for the first time they’ll be deploying drones for extra eyes in the sky.

“This is going to be one of the most well policed, best protected events in one of the most safest venues in the entire world,” said James O’Neill Police Commissioner.

There will be quite an eclectic mix of performers there as well. Entertainers include Sting, new Kids on the Block, Snoop Dog, Christina Aguilera, and Bebe Rexha.

She’ll be singing John Lennon’s song Imagine which will bring the world together right before midnight.
