Members of a Minot motorcycle club have taken on the challenge of helping kids afford hot lunch at school.
The Ice Cold Ryders heard about the issue recently and went to work raising money to help out.
So far, they’ve collected and donated nearly eight thousand dollars to seven Minot schools to help pay off school lunch debts.
Evan Hunt says the group started donating on its own, and then expanded the effort to include other groups and businesses.
(Evan Hunt, Ice Cold Riders) “We determined that other organizations could possibly help us with that so we said, why don’t you guys match us? That way it’s a full community event that we’re all a part of and we love to be a conduit of that event.”
Hunt says the Ice Cold Ryders will continue to raise funds for kids needing help with school lunch.
