Motorcycle collides with garbage truck causing serious injury

A 56-year-old Bismarck man was transported to a local hospital Monday morning following a collision with a city garbage truck.

At 7:45 a.m., the Bismarck man was driving a motorcycle southbound on North Washington street. The garbage truck was attempting to make a left turn off of Medora Avenue onto North Washington and did not see the motorcycle. The man then hit the front of the truck, causing serious injury to his leg.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the city garbage truck was not cited on scene. It has been sent to the city attorney for review.
