Animal tracks seen in Lincoln this morning are confirmed to be from a mountain lion according to state Game and Fish.
Game and Fish says the tracks show the cat moved through Lincoln and a development area east of the University of Mary and then continued south toward the Oahe Wildlife Management Area.
They say it appears to be heading toward the river and the wildlife management area.
This is the second confirmed mountain lion in the Bismarck area within the last month.
In January, a mountain lion was shot and killed by law enforcement personnel near the Bismarck Municipal baseball field.
Officers from the Lincoln Police Department and Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department helped in tracking the lion.
