News

The theme for Minot State’s 90th homecoming celebration is ‘A Tail of Tradition.’

Starting Monday September 17, there’s a ton of events happening all week long for students, staff, and especially for the entire community.

The week kicks off with the Beaver Booster Golf Scramble today, Wednesday is the Block Party.

Thursday evening there will be a 5K FunRun, and of course this weekend is the Alumni and Friends Reunion Friday night, followed by the parade and football game on Saturday.

FREE events for the community include Wednesday night’s block party, that’s from 5-7pm on the lawn in front of Old Main.
There will be food, entertainment, and Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

On Saturday, the parade starts at 11am in downtown Minot and right after that, the tailgate party will begin on 11th Avenue.

“Everybody works together to put this events on. It’s planned from homecoming last year to homecoming this year, it’s a year round plan,” MSU student & marketing intern, Hannah Voeller, said. “Students really get involved, student government organization really helps and the alumni association gets the alumni to come back and plan with us too. so, it’s a really all-around effort.”
