Memorial Day is on Monday but some celebrated today by honoring vets that are close to home.

Minot State planted two new elm trees on campus and rededicated the World War 1 memorial.

The two trees represent two students that attended the university; Henry Finn and James Otis Cooper.

Both of the students served and gave their lives to the war.

In the future, MSU will add a memorial bench in honor of the students, faculty, and staff who supported World War 1.
