Surveillance footage helped Minot Police arrest the son of a homicide victim on a murder charge.
Court documents show 28-year-old Chris Vickerman was picked up showing his father, Mark Vickerman, answering the door at his home then falling backward.
Chris Vickerman is then seen picking up shell casings from the floor at the northwest Minot residence Friday.
In court today, Vickerman was officially charged with one count of Class Double-A Murder.
Police say Chris Vickerman was sitting on a bench outside the home when officers responded to the 9-1-1 call.
He told officers he had come to his father’s home to sell him a gun.
Police say they found a bullet fragment in the wall and a shell casing under the bench Chris Vickerman was sitting on.
Judge Doug Mattson rejected the defense request for a 250-thousand dollar bond, instead ordering him held without bond, pending his preliminary hearing which is set for June 20th.
