The North Dakota House today approved legislation adding the term ‘cyberbullying‘ to the state’s school bullying policy.

The current policy refers to bullying of students in general, but there are no specific references to bullying through the use of electronic devices such as computers, smartphones and email.

The legislation amended the policy to include bullying through the digital world.

The bill passed the House 83 to 7.

It previously passed the Senate February 14 on a 44 to 1 vote.

It now goes to the governor for his signature.
