A few key votes are scheduled on the Senate Floor today.
One is on House Bill 1530 — which would get rid of the state’s income tax, and make up the difference using earnings from the Legacy Fund. This passed in the House by a vote of 61 to 31 — but has a “Do Not Pass” recommendation from the Senate Finance and Taxation Committee.
The Senate is also scheduled to vote on a bill that would no longer make it a criminal offense to ride a bicycle or a horse while intoxicated. The House approved it 91 to 1 — but here again, a Senate committee has recommended the bill not be passed.
