Final commander in Afghanistan returns to US

The final U.S. Commander in Afghanistan is back on U.S. Soil.

Gen. Austin Miller was welcomed back at Joint Base Andrews by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.

Gen. Miller relinquished his position at a ceremony in the capital of Kabul on Monday, taking the United States a step closer to ending its 20-year war.
