ND Highway Patrol Raise Money for St. Jude’s with No Shave November

While it’s the time of year to be thankful for what we have, some of our first responders are taking the opportunity to give back.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is participating in No Shave/Nail Polish November to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. For the entire month, officers are given a little wiggle room in the dress code. They have already raised over 7 thousand dollars. This is the first year highway patrol has participated, and say it’s a policy change the staff has enjoyed.

Major Tom Iverson; Highway Patrol: “Check out our Facebook page and twitter, we’ve been posting a lot of photos of our officers and the status of their beard. So go check it out, there’s also a link on there to donate to St. Jude’s.”

Major Tom Iverson said he was participating to support his family members that have battled with cancer. His mother is currently fighting breast cancer.
