A winter storm could be hitting many of us tomorrow.
While most of us would like to stay indoors – others are gearing up to spend most of their time on the road.
The DOT are prepared to get on the road at a moments notice.
For this particular storm, they are watching the radar closely to see when the storm will be here.
They are anticipating that they might need extra drivers to come in early in the morning so they can be ahead of the storm.
There is 13 drivers on staggered shifts and by 6 or 7 tomorrow morning multiple plows will be out.
“The staff is out there trying to do the best that they can and sometimes it may seem like they should be there you know every minute but they are trying their darnedest to do it and they got a lot of miles to cover,” says Jim Redding, District Engineer.
The DOT in the Minot area covers approximately twelve hundred miles of road.
