Before the North Dakota State Fair happens, there’s a lot of work that goes into getting visitors to come.
After the nine day festival – the marketing director says that they have a meeting, discuss the positives and negatives, and come up with a plan how to make it even bigger the next year.
Their most valuable marketing tool is social media, especially Facebook but they also do radio, tv, and billboard ads.
They also market to our northern neighbors in Canada by attending trade shows.
“I would say we spend a majority of our advertising in the state but we don’t forget our friends up in Canada as well,” said Vince Azzarello, NDSF Marketing Director.
According to our Facebook poll, 73% of people say they’ve attended the fair and 27% of people say they haven’t.
