New BHS auditorium dedicated to local war vet

News

Bismarck High Schools new auditorium will be dedicated to a Korean War vet and native of the city.

It will be named for former BHS graduate and state lawmaker Roy Gilbreath.
Gilbreath was born in Mott – and graduated from Bismarck High School in 19-48.
He served in the state legislature from the late 1960s through 1997.
Roy still has his Bismarck High School letterman’s jacket – which on occasion he still proudly wears.

The auditorium is expected to be open in September of this year.
