A new diet craze might not be the safest thing for our bodies.
The diet is called calories in, calories out and some people know it a “CICO” for short.
The idea of this diet is to lose weight.
This diet says that you can eat whatever you want whether it’s healthy or not and all you have to do is expend more calories than you consume.
A nutritionist says that if you workout and burn off more calories than you consume, you can lose weight.
But, it’s still important that you are eating foods with other nutrients.
“A 70 calorie fresh orange versus 70 calories of orange juice. Both of them are 70 calories but the fresh orange is going to give us a much better quality vitamin C, potassium, fiber,” said Sandra Horob, Trinity Health Director of Nutrition.
Horob adds the key to good health is eating food with good nutrients and physical activity.
