Bismarck’s new Fire Station 4 is now complete and can now better serve the growing population.
The fire station not only is training firefighters more efficiently but giving Bismarck residents quicker response times.
Fire Chief, Joe Boespflug, says they strategically put the fire station in its new location because of the growth in North East Bismarck. The biggest enhancement was their new educational classrooms that will allow firefighters to learn about all types of emergencies.
“We can train 36 persons so we bring in National Fire Academy courses and train with our partners, with law enforcement, the police department, The National Guard, The Civil Support Team, Highway Patrol, Mutual Aid Partners. It’s a way for us to become stronger as a community and as partners,” says Boespflug.
The chief says that without this new fire station they would not have been able to maintain their emergency standards with the increasing community growth Bismarck has seen.
