Cara Mund, of Bismarck, has been named Miss North Dakota for the Miss America scholarship organization. She made her first public appearance in Williston today to speak with the Williston Rotary.
Mund competed in the Miss North Dakota pageant for four years before finally claiming the title. She says she even turned down a job with Senator Hoeven’s office in order to focus on competing for Miss North Dakota.
“This has been a dream since I was six years old. And I just knew that if one day I could impact a child’s life in the same way that all those former Miss North Dakotas did for me that I’d be going for the perfect dream job,” says Mund of her reign.
Mund will represent North Dakota at the Miss America pageant on September 9th.
