Welcome Week is drawing to a close for students in the North Dakota University System, but before classes start ramping up, Minot State offered free admission to the Roosevelt Park Zoo to visit the animals.

For International Student, Dsbierre, doesn’t miss a chance to get out and see what’s happening. The finance major has spent his past few years at a university in Florida, but the affordability of in-state tuition for all students drew him into transferring to M-S-U to finish his Bachelor’s degree.

“When I was coming up here, everyone kept saying, ‘There’s nothing up there. What are you going to do? Why don’t you just stay in Florida?’ and stuff, but it’s way better than what I thought it was going to be and people are so friendly. I love it,” says Guy Dsbierre, Finance Major at MSU.

He added that he’s not too sure how he feels about the cold yet, but he’s hoping to adjust in time for winter.
