A Kenmare man will continue to be held on $100,000 bond while he awaits trial on a charge of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.
36-year-old Tristan Enck asked for a reduction in his bond in the case today.
But Judge Stacy Louser refused, saying the safety of the public demanded the higher bond.
She also told the prosecution to make sure state crime lab testing of DNA evidence in the case is finished soon, to allow both sides in the case to prepare for a trial.
The class double-A felony charge against Enck carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Judge Louser says the trial is likely to be in the fall.
