North Dakota man facing 26 Class B Felonies


New Developments in a case where a man was charged with 20 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor. 

Curtis McGarvey had another six charges of sexual performance by a minor added to his wrap sheet. 

Nearly two years ago, an underage female reported she thought someone had gained access to her cell phone, potentially obtaining passwords to various accounts. 

In the investigation– authorities found over 50 photos, both edited and unedited of the teen in McGarvey’s possession.

Authorities also found numerous covert cameras in a residence owned by McGarvey.

According to court documents– investigators found hard drives showing videos of the teen changing or coming in and out of the shower. 

In the video McGarvey is seen setting up the cameras. At times running into the bathroom to grab them shortly after the teen exits. 

McGarvey now faces 26 charges of promoting a sexual performance by a minor, all Class B felonies, one count of child neglect, a Class C felony, one count of terrorizing against an adult, a Class C felony, one count of promoting obscenity to minors, a Class C felony, and one count of stalking, an A misdemeanor. 

He faces 275 years in jail if convicted of all counts– in both cases. He is being held on $350,000 bail.
