The quality of public school systems varies widely from state to state. A recent report says North Dakota is among one of the best in the country.

The report comes from wallet hub a personal finance website and North Dakota ranks 11th overall.
Some things taken into account to determine this was school funding, safety, and class size.
North Dakota was one of the states with the lowest student teacher ratio.
We spoke to a local superintendent about his thoughts on the ranking status.

“Right now if you’re a student at our elementary schools you can take part readily and STEM activities–orchestra programs- drama programs –our middle school students have a wide array of class offerings that they can take- high school it’s almost endless,” said Minot Public Schools superintendent Mark Vollmer.

He adds that great education wouldn’t be accessible without the support from the community.
