North Dakota Students Lead Nation in AP Exams

News

North Dakota students lead the nation in advanced placement exams.

From 2016 to 2018– there was a 55 percent increase in their success rate.

Students earn college credits for taking AP classes.

They also save money on college tuition.

Last year– North Dakota kids saved a whopping 1.76 million dollars.

“So many students that have a goal of going to college and if that is what they have their sights set on, then they’re really going to strive whether it’s through AP or through dual-credit, whichever way to get that cost down a little bit,” said Polly Sivertson, college and career counselor.

An average cost to go to a 4-year college in the state is $31,252.
